Vin Diesel sued for sexual battery by his former assistant

Hollywood star and Fast and Furious famed actor Vin Diesel has become the latest top name to be accused of a crime he allegedly committed over a decade ago. While several Hollywood stars have in the past suffered various degrees of sex-related accusations, Vin Diesel’s own is the latest on the block.

Asta Jonasson, a former assistant to Vin Diesel in a lawsuit at the Los Angeles Superior Court accused the star of sexual battery. According to the lawsuit, the incident occurred in an Atlanta hotel in 2010, barely two weeks after she was hired to work for the actor.

The statement by the complainant claimed Vin Diesel grabbed her, groped her breast and kissed her, ignoring her “clear statements of non-consent”. It added that she “screamed and ran towards the nearby bathroom,” but the actor pinned her against the wall with his body. He then “grabbed Ms. Jonasson’s hand and placed it on his erect penis”. However, when the complainant refused to engage according to the statement, Vin Diesel proceeded to masturbate, keeping Asta Jonasson still pinned against the wall.

The attorney for Vin Diesel, Bryan J. Freedman in a statement said the actor “categorically denies this claim in its entirety.” The statement added, “This is the first he has ever heard about this more than 13-year-old claim made by a purportedly nine-day employee”.

Mr Diesel is sued together with his production company One Race Productions and his sister Samantha Vincent. This is because “mere hours” after the incident, Samantha Vincent, president of One Race Productions “terminated Ms Jonasson’s employment” saying the actor no longer needed “any extra help”.

Vin Diesel, a star of the Fast and Furious franchise has several works in the industry, featuring over 60 titles. His company One Race Productions co-produces Fast and Furious and production is currently ongoing for XXX 4, Fast and Furious 11, Riddick Furya and Bloodshot 2 among others.
