GBC stops Dep. Minister from illegal demolition of its properties

State broadcaster, the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) has forcefully stopped the Deputy Minister of Information, Sylvester Tetteh from illegally demolition government property on GBC’s land at Weija.

According to a short statement on its official social media handles, the broadcaster’s management involved the Ghana Police Service to force the Deputy Minister to stop the illegal exercise. They posted pictures of the heavy machines including tipper trucks on the site during the demolition.

“The Management of GBC with the help of Ghana Police Service this afternoon stopped the Deputy Minister of Information and MP for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh from continued illegally demolition of government buildings on GBC land at Weija,” the post said.

Sylvester Tetteh who is also the MP for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro was pulling down staff bungalows of the the state broadcaster at Weija in the Greater Accra Region.
