Fameye: why cry when you won’t cooperate? NPA asks musician

The National Petroleum Authority has questioned the rationale behind the uncooperativeness of musician Peter Famiyeh Bozah, known as Fameye in investigations to the diluted fuel complaint. The Musician took to social media to lament that he bought fuel for GHS700 and it turned out that the station filled his car with diluted petrol.

According to him, the petrol broke down his car and he has since spent GHS7000 to fix the car, a Honda Pilot Touring 2019 Model. The car has failed to start despite him breaking the bank to do so. He asked for solutions from his followers on social media.

However, in a bizarre twist of things, the NPA, a body mandated to handle such issues has expressed sadness that the rapper has been uncooperative in helping them investigate the matter.

In a tweeted response to the musician’s earlier tweet, the NPA said, it “has sighted the tweet of music artist Peter Bozah alias Fameye, alleging that he had bought fuel laced with water resulting in a damage to his Honda Pilot Touring car.

According to the NPA, “Upon reading the tweet, the Consumer Services Department of NPA on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 04:39 pm and Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 12:31 pm reached out to Fameye’s management to assist with investigations”.

But “The unwillingness of Fameye’s management to cooperate with the NPA’s Consumer Services Department by providing key information, such as the name and location of the retail outlet in question makes it impossible for the Authority to proceed with investigation into the case”.

The NPA, however, stated that “It is worth emphasizing that without the name and location of the alleged retail outlet, the NPA is unable to assist Fameye in this instance”. Though “Fameye’s management team further stated that it would handle the case by itself,” the NPA believes it could help.

The authority called on the management of the musician to reach out to them so that the Consumer Services Department of the Authority can handle the case.

“The management of Fameye can reach out to the NPA whenever it is ready via the Authority”s social media handles or on its Customer Service Lines : 080012300/ 0545006111/ 0545006112,” the NPA tweeted.
