A banker with the First Atlantic Bank Mr Ernest Kwaku Nimako and the Bank have been sued by a former NSS personnel at the bank, Deborah Seyram Adablah after their parlor relationship hit rocks.

Miss Seyram in the lawsuit alleged that she was sexually harrassed while doing her National Service at the bank headquarters in 2020. She eventually gave in and started a parlor relationship with Mr Nimako who is the Chief Finance Officer of the bank.

According to the lawsuit, Miss Seyram was later persuaded by Mr Nimako to reject a contract offer from the bank after the end of her service with the promise of paying her GHS3,000.00 monthly allowance. He also promised to secure accommodation for three years for her and buy her a car before he would then marry her later after he has divorced his wife whom he said their relationship had gone bad beyond fixing.

Mr Nimako also promised to give her money to start a business. He accordingly fulfilled the rent and car promises though he only paid the rent for one year and the next payment is due and Miss Seyram has reportedly been taken to rent control and is facing eviction. She said he also started paying the GHS3,000.00 allowance until July 2022.

However, things started turning from roses to torns when their differences started creeping up in July 2022. She alleged that Mr Nimako convinced her to take family planning injection and it has been giving her trouble since and she often bleeds profusely. She said the bank executive paid for the treatment sometimes but has stopped paying.

In what could be a big complication to the bank who is a co-defendant in the case, Miss Seyram alleged that while the harassments and abuse of female staff was ongoing at the bank, the top executives of the bank were all aware but did nothing to stop it or protect the females.

She added that even a married woman was part of the victims of the sex matches at the bank which she said was a regular thing and if you dared to speak against it you would lose your job.

Miss Seyram is demanding that the car which Mr Nimako bought for her but registered it in his name be changed to her name. That she be refunded GHS10,000.0 which she used to repair the car. That he two years rent of the promised three years should be paid by renewing the rent or securing a similar place at the same value for her.

She is also demanding that the outstanding arrears from July 2022 be paid up until when the case is closed at the court. That the lump sum promised for her to start a business should be paid and that she should also be paid for all the cost she incurred in treating herself of the effects of the family planning.
