Grammys Awards 2024 full list of winners

At the 66th Recording Academy Awards, South African singer and songwriter Tyla became the youngest African Grammys Awards winner after scooping the Best African Music Performance gong. She was not the only one as several other top names both regular and new joined the list of honoured artists on the night.

Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Boygenius and Killer Mike left the stage with multiple Grammys awards. Victoria Monét and Coco Jones were among the ones who received their Grammys Awards. Phoebe Bridgers was the most awarded artist on the night with four to her name.

Judging by the numbers, this year has not gone well for Africa. Tyla’s win shows that Africa’s diverse talent is not only concentrated in the old folks in the industry but even young entrants too. The young amapiano and R&B Grammys winners is not unknown having surfaced since 2019. But her ascent is a cause for celebration not just for South Africa but the continent. Would we see more Africans getting the Grammys in 2025? Let’s see what the actors bring to the table in 2024.
