The young lady who has dragged the First Atlantic Bank to the Accra High Court together with one of its top executive’s has said the bank was aware of everything but kept mute.
In the lawsuit, the lady, Deborah Seyram Adablah who had previously worked at the bank as a National Service Personnel and served under the Chief Finance Officer, Mr Ernest Kwasi Nimako said the bank was aware of her relationship with the CFO.
According to her in the lawsuit, when she gave in after the pressure, “her parlor relationship was open and known to almost all the workers” in the bank and the bank itself. She said not only was the bank “aware the plaintaif engaged in this unholy and unhealthy work relationship, it was the order of the day” at the bank but it looked on without protecting her and her colleagues.
The writ added that “at the time she came in as a National Service personnel, there was a female married woman worker who was also harassed and gave in, and it was an open secret in the bank known by all the workers and no one can question same since you stand to lose your job” with the bank.
She said the bank was fully aware but didn’t act since all the top executives were all engaged in the sex matches with the female staff and she herself with Mr Ernest Kwasi Nimako, the CFO.
Mr Kwasi Nimako has been summoned by the Accra High Court together with the bank with Deborah Seyram seeking general damages, car documents, two years rent, business start-up capital and a refund of paid expenses for medical bills among other things.
In a relationship that started at the bank when Miss Seyram joined as a Service Personnel and lasted in good times till mid 2022, the top banking executive and his bank faces an uphill task to keep their clear their names and as well keep their integrity.
While Ernest Kwasi Nimako is the first defendant for his parlor relationship with Miss Seyram, the bank is in it for its silence despite allegedly being privy to the alleged sex matches happening among its staff.
