Dr Pushkin brings Outlandish home with a show in Accra

Ghanaian enterprising rapper Paul Azunre, known professionally as Dr Pushkin is set to entertain his Ghanaian fans with a show in Accra next month. The show will be the first for the “Lies” hitmaker in Ghana since the release of his maiden studio album Outlandish.

Details of the show remain scanty but the event will be hosted in one of the prime locations in the national capital will be in the second week of May. Sources close to the conscious rapper say the show will witness a high-level representation with nearly all the stars featured on the Outlandish album likely to be available for the show.

We expect to see some of the top names that feature in the Outlandish album such as Jerry Kanjaga, TeriWiizi, Kromanteng and Kwadjo SPiRi. Ataman Nikita and Aphee are some other artists who were also featured on the album and fans would love to have them in Accra.

Ghana’s legendary Hiplife and Hiplife musician Ofori Amponsah known also as Mr All 4 Real is also one artist who fans of Dr Pushkin would love to see in Accra. The “Cinderella” hitmaker was featured on the heart-warming love tune “You Make Me Wonder”.

Meanwhile, the venue, as well as the exact date for the show and the outlets for ticket sales, will be made available very soon.

About Outlandish

Outlandish is Ghanaian rapper and scientist Dr Pushkin’s first studio album. The 17-track album was released in January and has since received massive critical acclaim. The release of the album heralded the Ghanaian’s maiden appearance at the globally famed South by South West (SXSW) music festival in Housten Texas.

As one of the few Africans to represent the continent at the event this year, Dr Pushkin took the International Hip Hop stage where he entertained the audience with songs from the Outlandish album. He was supported by Ghana’s tongue-twisting rap originator Budukus as well as AZA and Aggie.
