Von Colucci: actor dies trying to look like BTS star Jimin

A young Canadian actor known as Saint Von Colucci met his untimely death after undergoing a risky surgery to change his looks. The 22-year-old passed away after making a total of 12 surgeries in an attempt to look like Korea’s BTS singer Jimin.

According to reports, the 22-year-old moved to South Korea in 2019 to pursue a career in music and was later featured in the Korean drama series Pretty Lies (Cogimar) which is set to premiere on US streaming platforms soon.

His publicist, Eric Blake spoke about the young actor’s insecurities concerning his looks. “He was very insecure about his looks,” Blake told the Mail. “He had a very square jawline and chin and he didn’t like the shape of it because he thought it was too wide and wanted a V-shape, the shape many Asians have.”

Also, Blake said that Colucci was informed about the risks of the surgery but “He was very insecure about his face. It was very hard for him to get a job in South Korea and he felt very discriminated against his Western looks.”

According to reports, he had 12 plastic surgeries costing him about $220,000 so he could the K-pop star for a US streaming network.

He is not very popular on social media so when news of the story broke, many people thought it was an artificial intelligence-generated hoax.
