Ghanaian rapper Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom, known as Eno Barony has reacted to the snub by organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse. She was not nominated in any of the categories despite her efforts in the year under review.
She took microblogging site Twitter to express her opinion by stating the work she did while wondering why she has not been considered.
According to her, “DON’T JUDGE ME ft Deewillslive” and “THE FINISH LINE ft Amerado Burner” are top songs that should be considered for the Best HipHop songs, Best Rap Performance and Best collaboration categories. She added, “And I am one of the best Hiplife/Hiphop artist Of the year under review”.
Charterhouse announced the full list of nominees at for the 24th VGMA but Eno Barony could not get any nominations. This year’s event is scheduled to take place on May 13, 2023, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
Meanwhile, the Best Hiphop/Hiplife Artiste category is being contested by Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur, Amerado, Medikal and Strongman.
Amerado Burner, Medikal, Strongman, Teephlow and Lyrical Joe are the others slugging it out for the best rap performance category.
