The hospital embroiled in the death saga of Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba known as Mohbad has released a statement distancing itself from the incident. In a statement to that effect, the hospital said Mohbad was brought in dead and the hospital only confirmed it but offered no treatment whatsoever.
Also, the hospital said its investigation revealed that a nurse was administering treatment to Mohbad at home prior to his death. It said the nurse is not a staff of the facility and has no affiliations with it as well.
According to Perez Medcare Hospital, is compelled to release the statement due to the viral video on social media purporting to be at its facility where the singer was receiving treatment before his death. It said the facility is not Perez Medcare Hospital and the singer was never their patient at any point in time prior to his tragic passing.
However, in another twist, a man who claimed to have been at the hospital on the same day with Mohbad said he saw the musician at the facility and took a picture with him. In the audio recording currently being circulated on social media, the unidentified man said the young man was seen in a social media video shouting “Mohbad is dead” and should be made to answer questions because he knows more.
According to the voicemail, the singer came in when he[man] was already at the facility for about an hour. He said he got agitated because no doctor was around to attend to him so a nurse calmed him down and as he was waiting Mohbad came in and he requested to have a picture. Mr Unidentified added that the singer looked out of place but consented for the picture to be taken and afterwards went in.
However, about 15 minutes later he realized many of the nurses moving briskly and that alarmed him. So he he enquired from the nurse who calmed him down earlier and the nurse said the singer had been administered the wrong injection. The man’s story goes to confirm what has been speculated earlier that the musician was given a wrong injection resulting in his death.
What is missing is that the man has not yet shared the picture he said he took with the singer in the last hours before his death. So the confusion still hangs on as questions are still being asked, “Who is responsible for the singer’s sudden death?”
