I will never ever do music with Sarkodie again – Samini

Ghana’s celebrated reggae, dancehall and highlife artist Emmanuel Andrew Samini popularly called Samini has told music lovers who were expecting to listen to some sound from the veteran musician and Sarkodie to forget.

Samini in a Twitter questions and answer session with his fans on Monday evening responded to a question on when he will do a verse with King Sark again by saying it is a never. The reason for his flat refusal to ever work with the veteran rapper is that Sarkodie does not respond when he is contacted.

He added that Sarkodie delayed in responding to him when he requested for his verse on his Burning. The Burning EP which Samini released in 2021 had featured Efya, Medikal and Kofi Kinata and per Samini’s response Sarkodie was one of the big names expected to feature on it but it did not materialize.

A Twitter user with the handle name ahenkrah asked, “please when was the last time you entered the studio with Landlord @sarkodie ,and when are u people joining again?”

And the Linda hitmaker replied, “Not sure I’ll need a verse from sark but if he ever does need one I’m not interested and that’s facts. He knows this himself. )y3 Alo sometimes and I don’t play that. Yes or no be problem for am so e go slow you and your project go dull …, he did it to me on burning EP”.

The two musicians have songs together with Sarkodie featuring Samini in his 2014 hit song Love Rocks and again in 2018 when they worked together on the remix of Samini’s reggae-styled hit song My Own.
