Estimated read time 2 min read

A parliamentary aspirant for the upcoming National Democratic Congress, NDC parliamentary primaries Fred Nuamah has alleged that some people are working against his ambitions. The actor released a press statement to announce his concerns following several unsuccessful attempts to submit his nomination forms electronically.

According to him, after he got the required number of endorsements for the forms, he has been trying to upload the forms via the party’s electronic system but to no avail. He added that he cannot also make the payment online as required despite attempting to do so for about 72 hours.

Additionally, he said he has already reached the appropriate quarters in the party to find solutions but nothing has worked so far. And per the statement, he has submitted the forms manually at the constituency election directorate while awaiting for the electronic issue to be resolved.

PRESS RELEASE

INABILITY TO FILE ON THE ONLINE PLATFROM – MR FRED NUAMAH

Warm greetings to you all. This release has become necessary due the circumstances I have found myself in.

After picking my nomination, I have gone round the constituency to have the required endorsement.

For the past 72 hours, I have not been able to complete the filing of my nomination electronically as well as make payment for the filing fee.

All efforts have proven futile after my engagement with the relevant personnel behind the party’s electronic platform.

I have found this to be another Machiavellian tactic to prevent me from successfully filing my nomination.

I have therefore petitioned the appropriate stakeholders through writing and hope they resolve the problem immediately.

For the meantime, I have presented my manual requirements to the constituency election directorate to signify my submission whiles I await the online rectification.

Thank you.

Mr. Frederick Nuamah

Parliamentary aspirant hopeful

Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency

Mr Fred Nuamah is in the NDC parliamentary race to represent the Ayawaso West Wuogon in the Greater Accra Region. Ironically, he is up against his best friend and colleague actor, John Setor Dumelo. John Dumelo contested and lost the last parliamentary elections to the NPP’s Lydia Seyram Alhassan, the widow of the former MP of the area, Emmanuel Boakye Agyarko.
