In a scathing assessment of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) government, Alhaji Said Sinare, National Chairman of the Zongo Caucus Working Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has stated that Ghanaians repaid its wickedness at the polls. He said Ghanaians collapsed the NPP due to the massive corruption, high unemployment rate, the uncontrolled depreciation of the Cedi and the numerous economic challenges the government has imposed on them.
Speaking on Onua TV on December 11, 2024, Alhaji Said Sinare attributed the NPP’s defeat to their “wickedness, laziness, and unbearable hardships” imposed on Ghanaians. He argued that the NPP government’s policies have led to widespread suffering, poverty, and inequality, ultimately leading to total collapse of the party under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
“The NPP government has been marked by incompetence, corruption, and a complete disregard for the welfare of the Ghanaian people,” Alhaji Said Sinare stated. “Their policies have led to unprecedented levels of unemployment, poverty, and hardship, and Ghanaians have rightly rejected them at the polls.”
Alhaji Said Sinare praised the Ghanaian electorate for their wisdom and discernment, saying that they had seen through the NPP’s empty promises and propaganda. He also commended the NDC’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, for his vision, leadership, and commitment to the welfare of the Ghanaian people.
The NDC’s victory, Alhaji Sinare noted, marks a new era of hope and opportunity for Ghanaians. He assured that the NDC would work tirelessly to address the economic challenges facing the country, create jobs, and improve the living standards of all Ghanaians.
