December was influenced by a broken heart

Singer Gyakie has revealed the inspiration behind her latest release, ‘December‘. She told Berla Mundi of TV3 that it was a real story she used for the song.

“It is fully broken heart. It’s actually one of the songs I wrote when I was in actually in one of my sad moments and I wrote it in Paris. Every word in the song is literally direct,” she said., adding “A special someone disappointed me. The story of the song is in the lyrics of the song when you read the lyrics, you will understand what I mean more.”

In the song Gyakie spoke about someone leaving hurt in “bondage” and now when she is okay, the person wants to come back to put her into misery again. Then in the chorus, Gyakie admitted that the person had won because her heart still beats for the person.
