Speaking to Awake News after the meeting, Mr. Hamenu noted that the engagement was timely and productive, emphasizing the need for sustained cooperation between YEA and the Prisons Service to ensure that beneficiaries are well-supervised and derive meaningful skills and experience from their assignments.

He congratulated Mr. Sallah on his appointment and reaffirmed YEA’s commitment to supporting state institutions through the provision of disciplined and dedicated young personnel under the Agency’s various modules.
For his part, the Volta and Oti Regional Commander of Prisons, Mr. Wilson Sallah, welcomed the YEA delegation and expressed appreciation for the Agency’s continuous support to the Ghana Prisons Service. He underscored the importance of partnership in promoting efficiency, rehabilitation efforts, and public safety.
