Capasta making waves after switching music for football

Ghanaian musician Imurana Abdul Karim, known as Capasta in the music circles has taken another direction, this time switching the mixed disco lights of music stages for the bright stadium lights. Imurana Abdul Karim who featured in Gasmila’s 2015 hit song “Telemo” has swapped music for football and has been appointed the head coach of a Norwegian second division club IK Junkeren Bodo sports club.

Capasta who is a FIFA licensed coach was appointed to the role in February 2023 and has led his team to fifth place in Group 1 of the ongoing season after 11 matches. He started his coaching career in Ghana where he was the head coach and soccer administrator at the Lizzy Sports Complex.

Capasta led the U-12 team to win World Youth Cup in Norway before adding the Paris World Games to it later.

Aside from his coaching, Capasta released a music album titled, “It’s Time” in February which contained top features such as Rashid Metal, Edem and Gasmila.
