Nigeria singer Ahmed Ololade popularly referred to as Asake has announced the date for his scheduled concert at the UK’s O2 Arena.

Having starred and held down fans in his native Nigeria while building a large fanbase across the continent, the “Bandana” hitmaker is continuing from where he left off in 2022. The AFRIMA Breakout Artiste of the Year made sure he kept fans busy with back-to-back hit singles in 2022 before dishing out his debut album “Mr Money with the Vibe”.

Asake, signed to Olamide’s YBNL Record in 2022 was earlier in 2023 announced by music streaming site Audiomack alongside Kizz Daniel, Snazzy the Optimist and 1ucid as the top trending and most streamed artistes.

Taking to social media, the “Sungba” hitmaker announced the date for the event at the world’s most popular music, sport, comedy and entertainment home as August 20, 2023. Pre-sale tickets for the event kick off on May 10, 2023, while the main sales start two days later.

With a grand capacity of 20,000, the O2 Arena is one of the largest in the world alongside the Acoor Arena in France, Madison Square Garden, Toyota Centre and Hollywood Bowl all in the United States. A number of Nigerian musicians including WIzkid who was the first Nigeria to sell out the arena and repeated it on four occasions as well as Burna Boy and Davido have made the arena their home ground. It is yet to be seen if Asake can follow suit and fill out the famed arena in August.
