Ghanaian defender cum midfielder Rahim Ayew has joined Lincoln Red Imps FC from rivals Bruno Magpies in the Gibraltar National League. The move makes Lincoln Red Imps the Ghanaian’s third club in the island country since he joined Europa FC in 2017.

Ayew joined Bruno Magpies in July last year and his deal with the club is set to expire at the end of the month paving the way for him to join their rivals on a free transfer. He made 22 appearances for the club in all competitions in the just-ended campaign.

Ahead of his deal being made official, the Ghanaian has already started training with his new aside as he waits to be unveiled.

Lincoln Red Imps are the defending champions of the Gibraltar National League after beating Ayew’s former side Europa FC to the title for the third year in a row. They remain the only club to win the league since its formation in 2019 following the folding up of the Gibraltar Premier Division.
