FC Samartex left it late to punish Accra Hearts of Oak in their Premier League week 30 encounter at the Nsekyire Sports Complex.
Hearts of Oak fell behind in the 7th minute through a Kwasi Ofusu strike giving them a harder task to overcome. However, the Phobians fought back to level the scores when Gideon Asante Yeboah equalized with 3 minutes of the first half left to play.
The teams headed for the break on even terms. The Accra-based club took the lead for the first time in the match when Congolese import Linda Mtange found the target four minutes after the hour mark.
That would, however, not last long as Samartex rallied back to pull level just 10 minutes later through Emmanuel Keyekeh.
With the game heading towards the closing stages and no team able to produce a goal in normal time, Hearts of Oak got the sharpest sting with Samartex producing a dramatic late winner deep into injury time.
David Ocloo’s men will turn their attention to Medeam SC as they welcome the Yellow and Mauve to the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Samartex, meanwhile, will now turn their attention to a trip to Kumasi to face King Faisal.
