The New Patriotic Party, NPP, is heating its quarters ahead of the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary election. Vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is up against a 3-time election veteran John Dramani Mahama of the NDC. So the party is putting in all measures to ensure it comes through with victory on December 7 by launching the 2024 NPP Manifesto.

As part of the process, the party launched its 2024 Election manifesto at the Ghana Secondary Technical School, GSTS, in the Western Region on August 18, 2024. The NPP manifesto which is a blueprint for the party when it wins the election seeks to highlight the key decisions the party would make when given the mandate.

As is the mark of politicians, especially those seeking votes, the manifesto is full of promises that would give you orgasm if only you trusted them. Notable promises in the manifesto are the ones that include tax reforms with promises to abolish the E-levy and betting tax. Another key promise contained in the NPP manifesto which particularly may excite the people of Central and Upper East Regions is the mention of new airports. Bawumia has pledged to construct new airports for the two regions and as well expand the Tamale airport to make it a cargo hub.
