I wish I was married with 3 kids

Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah has revealed her desire to be married so she can have children. The celebrated actress made this known during an interview with Emelia Brobbey. Answering the question on marriage, the “Million Dollar Baby” star said having children is her dream and she is waiting on God to grant her prayer.

“Who doesn’t want marriage? Let’s be real. I wish I had two or three kids that I could drop off at school and also pick them up from Sunday school and they will be holding my hands. It is a beautiful thing but I have placed many things before God. He has not done everything but he has done some. That shows that he is definitely working on it. If you don’t see it happening, God is working, just be patient,” Martha Ankomah explained.

Commenting on popular believe that it is difficult for celebrities to get married, Martha Ankomah said she is not a student of that school of thought. She said it is all about character and nothing more, adding that what outsiders see is different from what the people in the industry see.

“I don’t believe in the idea that as an actress you won’t get a husband. You know what they see is different from what those of us in the entertainment industry see. It depends on how you, the individual, carry yourself. Because there are a lot of creatives who have gotten married and are living happily,” Martha Ankomah.

Martha Ankomah is one of Ghana’s most respected actresses. She has starred acted in several movies including Somewhere in Africa, Shakira, Sin of the Soul, A Trip to Hell, Suncity, Honeymoon Hotel and Bed of Roses.
