Where is your conscience? – Ablakwa questions Godfred Dame

Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has questioned the conscience of Ghana’s Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame for allowing Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng to roam freely while Gyakye Quayson is being persecuted.

Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng, who was exposed by Ablakwa as using two different identities and operating businesses under both names sought to restrain the MP from revealing further details. Mr Kusi Boateng also referred to as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi headed to the Accra High Court to restrain the NDC MP from further discussing him in relation to the National Cathedral.

However, the court dismissed his motion and as well slapped Rev. Kusi Boateng with a GHS10,000 cost. Kwabena Adu Gyamfi hauled the lawmaker before the courts on charges of defamation before adding contempt to it but both have been dismissed.

Reacting to the decision via a post on social media, Ablakwa questioned the Attorney General’s conscience for continuously trailing Gyakye Quayson while sitting on the same board with a man using dual identities.

“How does Godfred Yeboah Dame feel sitting on the Board of the National Cathedral with Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng/Kwabena Adu Gyamfi particularly after a damning Human Rights Court Judgement that the latter’s conduct borders on criminality?

“Where is Dame’s conscience as he persecutes Quayson on a daily basis?” he questioned while adding that “Dame must remember he is Attorney General and Minister for Justice NOT Selective Justice!”

“Kusi Boateng sought to refuse me from further investigation, further parliamentary oversight duties and also further publication claiming that the work I was doing was violating his fundamental human rights under Article 33 of the 1992 constitution,” Ablakwa told Citi News as reported by Modern Ghana.

He added that “The learned judge held that that claim of violating his fundamental human rights could not be supported because the evidence that I presented that my lawyers prove that these are two distinct personalities under Rev Victor Kusi Boateng as his own mother has a separate date of birth and an entirely different identity and Kwabena Adu Gyamfi has a separate date of birth and a different mother and an entirely different personality that he has used concurrently and has sought to confer this fact from the general public.”

“The judge said that because of my work that it came to light but for the parliamentary oversight we carried out nobody could have known that he is two distinct personalities that indeed even before the high court he had initiated a matter in the name Rev. Kusi Boateng and in this present application has come before the court as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi alias Victor Kusi Boateng that judge is not convinced that this cannot be an alias,” Ablakwa revealed.
