Musician Peter Famaiyeh Bozah known popularly as Fameye has taken a different direction relating to the recent popularization of celebrity lookalikes. He told his lookalike to keep being himself and enjoy the craft of using his songs.

Despite numerous calls for people to put a stop to the trend, Fameye thinks his lookalike is doing him good as he promotes his[Fameye] songs and brand.

“Mine wasn’t a warning. I saw the video, and I think he kinda looks like Fameye, and it’s okay. There are a lot of people that look alike in the world. Let me speak for myself and my brand. Some people have not heard my song, and this lookalike has made them hear about me,” he said as reported by Modern Ghana.

According to the “Mati” crooner, he saw videos of his lookalike on TikTok where the guy was doing duets with his songs. This, Fameye said is not bad but something positive as the guy even knows some of his songs that are not popular.

“I went on his page on Tiktok, and I realized he has a couple of videos of me in a duet. So every song I have that is not even loud, he knows the song, so in a way, he is also pushing my music and the Fameye brand,” Fameye stated.

However, Fameye added that though he is okay with his lookalike using his songs, the lookalike should not attempt to play shows or take money in his[Fameye] name else he will be hunted and brought down.

“Just make sure you don’t do anything illegal because when I find you playing shows or taking money from people, now that’s going to be a problem. But in as much as I said this, I don’t need to wait for it to happen before I go in and speak. He should just have fun,”
