American musician Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, known as Doja Cat has hinted that she will retire from pop music and switch to a new genre. She said the genre is no more exciting and she wants to try something new.
She first announced the change in the genre when she took to Twitter to reveal the news with a tweet, “No more pop”. Then she added, “I also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny. I know they are. I wasn’t trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing yall say that I can’t so I will”.
Days after announcing the change, she tweeted to announce that the album name is no rap but rather rock and spoken word. She also added that the name of the album had changed. “The whole album is no longer rap yall its rock/spoken word and the album title is not Hellmouth anymore.”
She then went ahead to announce the new name of her fourth album. “Album is called Moist Holes,” she revealed, adding that “it’s gonna be a french conceptual experimental country/bohemian fusion with the essence of blue-grass”.
The “Kiss Me More” singer, however, shocked her fans when she revealed that music only makes her sadder and she is done doing music. “…I quit I’m done with this music shit its only making me sadder every day. I can’t take it anymore”.
However, she then quickly added that she will finish the album. “…ima finish this album yall don’t worry”.
