A communication team member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Rashid Salifu, has taken a brutal swipe at H.E Alhaji Said Sinare, describing him as a disgraced political puppet who mortgaged his integrity and the Zongos for crumbs that never came.
According to him, Alhaji Sinare’s shameless campaign against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 elections—just to please President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC—was not only dishonorable but has now ended in utter disgrace. He says the man who paraded himself as a “Zongo Warrior” has been reduced to a laughing stock both within his own party and across the political divide.
“Alhaji Sinare should bury his head in shame,” Rashid blasted. “He stood on platforms across the country, hurling mud at his fellow Muslim brother, Dr. Bawumia—calling him names and inciting Zongo communities against him—all in a desperate attempt to impose Mahama on the Zongo communities. And what has he received in return? Rejection, humiliation, and irrelevance.”
Rashid’s comments follow Sinare’s recent attacks on former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in which H.E Alhaji Said Sinare called on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to stop commenting on the economy under Mahama’s watch. Describing it as a desperate move from a man forgotten by the very power he once served.
Speaking on a local radio station, Mr. Rashid added that Sinare’s current political irrelevance within the NDC is proof that he was merely used and dumped like a worn-out campaign cloth. “You danced, screamed, and insulted on their behalf, yet when it was time to share appointments, they tossed you aside like garbage.”
Calling him a “political liability”, the NPP communicator challenged the former Ghana Ambassador to Egypt and Saudi Arabia to find the humility to admit his error. “You betrayed your own bloodline and faith just to be politically noticed. Today, the very Mahama and NDC men you toiled for have thrown you under the bus. You are not a hero—you are a political warning sign.”

He concluded with a jab that echoed with heavy sarcasm: “It is better to stand with honor in defeat than to stoop for a victory that forgets you. Let this be a bitter lesson for all who sell their souls for empty promises in the Zongo communities.”
